Pub electrics.... Argh!!

At least you had MCBs, you usually find allsorts stuffed in rewirable fuse holders in pubs. I once even found one with fuse wire in :shock: :lol:

Reminds me of one site I did an EICR on (wasn't a pub though)

The re-wirable carrier did have fusewire in, although it was the wrong rating

Some circuits had a suitable rating of fusewire, however unfortunatly this was strung across BS88 carriers.

The BS1361 carriers had a mix of fusewire and copper strands across them

and a MEM Exel isolator had the contact bar engaged with the door wide open
 
Quite a common find in highway lighting feeder pillars with the old Redspot dist boards is to find a blown fuse wrapped in fusewire or even a bit of 1.5mm !
