Hi, we have a Lycos single lever tap. According to details supplied, the lever should pull out from centre position, turn to right for hot & left for cold. However, when lever is pulled out ( from centre position) it won't turn to right and is full on hot. If moved to left, it will move approx 90 degrees to cold. I tried removing lever, it located on a square shaft but the "pull" can only be in one position. Can the cartridge be turned/centred somehow? I've noticed on pics of cartridges the inlet ports seem to be fixed, so I don't know if it can be repositioned.
Any help, advice gratefully received.

Sorry, maybe I'm not making myself clear.

Can the cartridge valve be turned so tap lever is in mid position? If so, how?

I think cross thread is indicating tap has been installed incorrectly .
Is it kitchen or bathroom tap?
