A friend of mine has recently moved into a newish build flat. His hot water is supllied by a Pulsacoil 2000.
The immersion booster seems to heat water fine, but the offpeak water heater doesn't appear to do anything. What do I look for to diagnose a fault such as this?
Am I right in thinking the pump runs water water through the PHE regardless of whether the boost or off peak electricity has been warming the thermal store?
Will a temperature sensor be broken somewhere for the offpeak heater?
I've not cracked the front off the boiler yet myself, he's been in touch with the flat's maintainance people and they haven't been out to look at it yet..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
