Pump Noise

How would you reduce the transmission noise in a pump room?

ie. in a pumped system within a block of flats.

Insulate the feet / base of the pumps from the surface they are mounted on would be my method

If you can place rubber under the feet, and dependent on the weight of the pumps it may need to be quite a firm rubber, then it generally works fine
