I'm referring to a diagram in the manufacturer's instruction which shows where the hot should come from. I'm not saying that is the problem, my wider point is that if he didn't follow the MI's for that, is everything else ok? There are some critical heights for the pump in the loft with reference to the bottom of the storage cistern and I'm just saying it should be confirmed as ok.

It isn't working properly, so something is wrong.
