Purchasing a good quality Spirit Level?

I want to buy good quality spirit levels spec: 0.5mm/metre or better, lengths 1800, 1000, 600mm. Preferable one where the bubble is tight between the lines and not like my current one which is 2-3mm both sides at least.

Please can anyone recommend a brand?

i would go with stabila too.

get one with the horizontal vial visible on the top edge, and not one with the vial set in the middle of the level. you have to keep bending down to see if things are level!

Do you mean the spirit level reads the same when flipped around 180deg (I don't mean upside down).
