Hi, All,

I need help with purchasing laminate floor. I found someone to fit in the floor for us. However, I have no idea where is the best place to buy the floor. The floor man said he has many samples and wanted us to directly buy from him. However, I feel a bit reluctant because I am no expert on it and I cannot tell if it worth the money just looking at samples. In addition, we just bad experience with our electrician who delayed our project nearly two month! I need to be extra careful now so I prefer to buy floor from a third party.
I did a bit research and I think I will choose the thickness at 12mm. B&Q has very good range but most of them have very mixed reviews. My friend recommended me UK Flooring Direct. I like some of their products which have very good reviews. May I ask if this supplier has good reputation? Anyone can recommend me some other suppliers?

Another question is about underlay. We have a 1960s townhouse. Two of the floors are concrete and one of them is timber. Do you think the choice below is a good one?

Someone said this is very good too.

Many thanks for your help!

Why not listen to the floorfitter about the laminate and the underlay?

The 1st link looks the best underlay.

Personally I'd say quickstep laminate is the best and very strong.
