Putting Fence Posts On Gabions- How?

My boundary is a river. I currently have a picket fence, the posts of which are literally cable tied to the mesh, albeit with SS ties. This has lasted years but is getting scruffy.

I'd like a more substantial ranch style fence for the safety of kids n animals; and for the look. Is there any way under the sun of securing posts on top of a gabion?

Unzip the top, pull out some stones and concrete your posts in. Layer of stone over concrete to disguise

Sometimes you have to explain I suppose.

The concrete could escape through the gaps in the stones depending on the size of stones used so :-

Unzip the top, pull out some stones drop in a rubble bag or old compost bag or similar. Insert the post into the bag and fill with concrete then once its set put the stones back in to add extra support to the post and disguise the concrete.

With a properly packed gabion and nice stiff concrete any losses would be minimal. If you do go with a bag then I would pack the sone back in while the concrete was wet to get a more spolid fixing.
