hmmm, which to use on a painted wall prior to skimming...!!???

should i pva the painted wall (1:5) a couple of times then skim when tacky, or should i use wickes bonding agent?

OR, to be extra sure, should i pva the wall to seal it (cos there are some crumbly bits) THEN use wickes bonding agent, let it dry, then pva (1:1) for adhesion and skim when tacky!!? or is that OTT??

what do you think?

Cheers!

i'd go for option 2. i think the wickes bonding agent is actually pva but don't quote me on that.

I always use Wickes PVA, £9.99.
I just use transfer half to a old tub, and mix with water, give it a good shake, transfer to a painters tubs, and roll on my walls.

Job done!
