PVC cladding - Kitchen ceiling

What is the general consensus on this? Just had Bathroom and Ensuite refurbed with a PVC cladded ceiling. All looks nice and clean looking. As we will be looking at the kitchen soon enough i like the idea of doing the same, but cant say I have seen many. Whats people thoughts?

I’ve done it for a customer and it still looks good 2 years on. Suppose it depends on personal taste tbf

My immediate thought is fire risk in a kitchen.

I imagine with condensation from cooking the ceiling will soon be full of small yellow stains.

IMO both NTB and foxhole are correct with their opinions, wasnt Grenfell Towers Covered in PVC Cladding ,

It was covered in a Celotex type insulation

I don't think in the situation proposed it is a fire risk after reading

The one I have seen uses those wide planks and the finish does look good. I can't imagine condensation would be any worse than a bathroom, in fact may be less of an issue if the ceiling has no roof space above.

Slightly off topic I know but those PVC planks make brilliant worktop upstands and at £5 for 3 metres.......
