yes plastic fittings are interchangable but you must use the correct inserts with the pipe that you are using, the only problem is one of insurance, your public liability company will use any excuse not to pay and when they see different products being used, it might be enough for them to refuse to pay out,
its better if you can use the same brand then they cant wriggle
