Hello All,

Following earlier advice, I've acquired a used v10 to update my 9.1 installed version, as well as a lan comms card..

So I'm wondering how much difficulty and time it takes to set one up (for an unexperienced amateur).. I'm generally good with config and ok with wiring not done much with alarms though... We are shortly going away and I don't want to start if it means I am certain to have a non functioning system when we leave.

From what I've read, I'll need to
1) replace the 9.1 with the newer 10 (either the pcb or whole chassis).
2) Mark the existing wiring and replace - identically.
3) Clean start.*
3) I've looked at the input set up - there's 5 IR sensors and where their marked as entrance / exit and group ABCD..
4) There's the opening screen message in the display to configure.

* Install the lan card in powered down state - needs to be connected and follow instruction sheet to configure and link to a newly setup cloud account / subscription.

Is there much else to it in this fairly simply layout? There's only one bell unit (connected) and a dummy (not connected). There's an internal sounder connencted to the speaker outputs. There's no expanders or any other complexity.

Advice / thoughts very welcome..... many thanks

Good question. Hopefully not. If it is I'd have a right to ask to delink or return. But maybe bench test it with absolute min ser up first?

Hi Again. So bench set it all up. Clean started. Followed comms set up. It says it is polling. But when I put in the system id it won't link, so presume it is registered already. Although is it only the numbers 1 and 0 that are not numeric in the system id? A response message that actually says the problem would be a bit more helpful. e.g authentication error, already exists, system id not recognised..... I've contacted the seller, if they don't respond I'll have to put in a request to deregister from other account...

Glad you responded and glad I bench tested!!

after leaving it a "while". then going back in with the system ID and using capital O instead of 0, which I'm sure I tried last time, it now has let me link to my account...

right. the stumbling block I have now, to set up the home control app on the phone I need a user code. I did clean start the panel so I guess user 001 is 1234 by default. Because my desk test set up has tampers and faults, no battery, case off etc, I don't seem to be able to access the manager menus for changing / setting users?

Yeah. I did a clean start, so it must be…. But, when I put D 2222 nothing happens. If I input D 1111 it gives. E two options, set alarm and set with something else… will try and check exact message. It seems I can’t access the manager menu whilst tamper faults and siren fault are still recorded?

Yes, or so I thought. But when I put it in nothing happens. Do I need to exit engineer to save. I would have had to exit anyway...

Thanks a lot. Yes that solved it. I think i may have had app password wrong in home control as well, but the c before changing the manager code defo got me!!

Guess I'll try and swap out with my live system now! Thanks so much. Very helpful support on a free diy forum... A

Hi. So swapped out the older 9.1 for the Euro 46. 10. Wired up exactly same. Seems to work. Although I didn't take a note of the intelligent set and flex set in the old unit so not sure what they do.....

Also, I assume this issue was present in the old set up, so is not related to the swap out to a newer unit. There are 5 PIR sensors in the house. But on the the control panel, no 2 is missing which is the hall and in the input it's set to 0. But the pir activates the blue led (bosch PIR)..... So I assumed that it had been daisy chanined or piggy backed with the nearby PIR for the l=kitchen for some reason....

But last night when testing, we entered the property through another door and the blue light lit on the PIR but no alarm. So now, I am assuming what has happened is the alarm and tamper wires have been removed at the panel. But 12V remains. And in the alarm inputs the hall has been deactivated. Presumably due to a fault or nuisance tripping....

Does that makes sense?
Would that mean the pir still lights blue when sensing but does not alarm and reports no fault - because it is switched off in the input selection?

Thanks a lot for any help.

Ill check, but there was one set of red / black + / - connected to the second set of 12v terminals separate to the rest. I'll go and count DC connections. There are 5 Pirs. So presumably if there are 5 sets of + / - connected, but input 2 has no Alarm or Tamper, that is the issue!!??
