Hi all,

We have moved into a house which has a burglar alarm and a Pyronix Vocaliser which will call a number if the alarm goes off.

We have the operational manuals for both units.

The alarm works but the vocaliser does not!

According to the manual you plug a phone into the 'service' port and press '1' which will then get you into the menu. However on mine you press '1' and nothing happens.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Thanks sparkymarka.
I did try pressing # but still no joy. I can hear a small amount of static but that's it.
It doesn't say please enter code. It doesn't say anything.

is your phone set to dtmf ? does your phone bleep when you press the keys ? if not look for slide switch on phone handset or use another hanset.

Yes the phone is a DTMF phone and yes it makes the relevent tone noises when you push the keys.
I can only assume it is a fault with the vocaliser. I was hoping it would turn out to be a common fault but I guess not.
