I am looking to buy some decent quality radiators to fit to a new haeting system. Could anyone advise me on the best out of Quinn Barlow / Stelrad / Myson as they all look to be good quality on the heating sites I have been looking at. Thanks.
Last time I fitted Stelrad they were as bad as their boilers. The threads were poorly finished and chewed up the vent O rings. Paint finish was very thin on the edges.
Barlow/Quinn are OK but I prefer rads with proper 1/2 inch vents on the end. I've seen too many Barlo type vents chewed up/seized.
With the 1/2 inch its very easy to poor in the cleaner/inhibitors with a funnel rigged up to a coupling.
Had a job the other day with deLonghi rads. Very well finished, all the 1/2 threads were well cut and the rads are supplied all the plugs/air vents.
