hi have a few problems and need bit of advice. Just bought house (built 1920's) needs everything doing...
quarry tile floor, no DPM, but just got walls injected as bricks were soaking, but the floor is bone dry and probably has been since it was laid

Removed 2 walls in hall way (cubbyholes) and now have holes in quarry tile floor where walls where(only 2ft). Now i intend to fill holes with polethene sheet, sand & cement with waterproofer.

im pretty skint and cant afford to replace the floor, althought i know its the right thing to to.
i will be tiling the whole area with porcelan tiles. might need self levelled, would an laytex self leveller act as dpm over he top of quarrys, or would some bitumen with a bit of sharp sand mixed in do the job?

or am i wasting my time?

Many Thanks
