Hello chaps,
I intercepted a call from a customer today claiming to have a toilet shredder connected to her WC. I immediately assumed she has a electric macerator. She wanted to know if she could have the device removed and disregarded completely. I have yet to get back to her, but, under normal circumstaces, can a macerator be removed and a new toilet fitted with a normal WC pan connecter?
At the moment, when she is flushing her toilet, there is a problem with drainage. Bubbles begin to appear at the waste holes in the basin and shower cubicle upon flushing of the toilet. As if the waste from the toilet is blocked somewhere and is rising up to the shower and basin. Sounds yucky.

Any knowledgable individual out there willing to help me.
Cheers

A macerator is usually installed as a 100mm waste pipe cannot be used due to location space location etc.
I would not touch a blocked unit they are a messy nightmare.
