New to DIYnot, and not what you would call especially 'handy'...

I want to fit a blind inside a window recess. As I have sash-window lookalike double glazing the window surrounds are PVCu and I'm guessing it would be a bad idea to drill into this to hang the blind?

What other options are there or should I just go ahead and drill?

Thanks

either use short screws, or fix it to the recess in which the window sits.

I would go for recess, becuse that way you won't damage the window

why not screw straight into the upvc ?
Blind will be fitted in no time and saves the hassle of drillin through brickwork.
Couple of 1" screws should do the trick.
Most of the blind installers i know do it this way
