Ah, thats a very intriguing point! Some people hold the view that he displays the attitude he does due to the exact opposite being true. There is a gulf of difference being holed up in your bedroom with a copy of the regs and all night long to compose a considered response and being called upon to spontaneously provide retorts to points of contention without losing the plot and becoming offensive and abusive

and I doubt if any of this phases him in the least

BAS posts in the DIY Electrics forum.

How can anybody that understands and is knowledgeable of BS7671 deny that the man has extensive knowledge on the subject ?. Therefore,
here, (on DIY) he is not always in conversation with a deemed 'competent' person, so to speak, maybe his approach is better for the diy'er ???, to make them aware.
