I want to install a new toilet (low flush and close coupled) and wish to get one with a push button flush that you press from the top of the cistern.

I have had problems in the past with flushing systems that get stiff and difficult to use (the ones with handles). I would therefore like to get a really reliable push button flushing mechanism even if I have to pay more. On the other hand I do not need a flashy expensive toilet pan.

What I would like to know is -

Does the flushing mechanism automatically come tailor made with the pan or can you buy, say, a relatively cheap pan and go for an expensive flush. Do you get a better quality flushing mechanism with a more expensive pan

Also, anyone got any ideas of the make of a push button flushing mechanism that is known to be resilient and does not become more difficult to use with age.

Thanks Landyandy

I will certainly follow this up. I understand that this product is available from most outlets.
