Question on Telephone Master Wiring

Blondini - Thanks - that makes things Crystal Clear.

The reason I got confused was that I thought that the wires on the RHS terminals of the Krone box were connected to the some of the wiring on the LHS now that I know that they are not I can see that it doesn't matter what colours are connected to each IDC socket on the Master and Extension sockets as long as they are connected in the same sequence as they are connected at the Terminal box.

Thanks for taking the time to explain it so well...

Blondini has explained it perfectly - nothing to add.

If the greens and orange have been correctly terminated to the removal front of your NTE master socket, the blues will remain 'live' on the A/B terminals, and the test seocket on the NTE master socket wil be working.

Assuming this is the case, place a phone in this test socket and check the condition of the line. If you still have a poor quality crackly line you can report to BT and get them to look into the issue.
