We have artex on a ceiling that I am about to repaint. It has been painted in the past, not sure but look is like it might have been vinyl silk.
After cleaning the ceiling with some water and a cloth, can I just use vinyl silk on top of the old paint, or do i have to use something special on it before i use the silk (like a primer or something?)
