Sorry if this has been covered or is in the wrong forum.

I will soon be purchasing a new built in oven to replace my ageing one.

I know it needs to be installed by a Gas Safe certified engineer. I called a local guy and he quoted a reasonable amount. When I asked if that included a new hose, he said he would reuse the old one. The current one must be 20 years old.

Should a new hose be fitted?

Thanks
Paul

it makes sense to replace old and worn components, but its not absolutely necessary.

if i was in your shoes i probably would.

none at all, providing it's not showing signs of distress or excess wear.

but it doesn't cost the earth.
