Hi, just had a new kitchen fitted and have now decided we need a socket in a certain position. easy enough to feed from a nearby one as the wall tiles are still to be fitted. question is, the twin socket now feeds a switched fuse unit which feeds a single socket for dishwasher,, am i able to tap off this socket or from the original twin or not at all ?? if yes, where's best to feed from ?

You will need to feed off a socket or the FCU provided it is on a ring final circuit and there is not already a spur added to it.

The preson doing the work must notify the local authority - you'd be better off getting the spark back who wired up your kitchen. Assuming the Part P paperwork hasnt been completed.
