BAS getting rid of unnecessary fuses. I don't see that as being materially different from pointing out the fact that 'unnecessary joints' in cables are also non-ideal. IMO, anything which reduces the number of 'points of potential failure' is worth considering - although there may sometimes be trade-offs to consider (i.e. swings and roundabouts).
