I want to replace a conventional single light switch and create 2 way switching using Quietic grid switches for compatible appearance with other adjacent switches. How can I hide the receiver? Is it possible to recess the receiver into a dot and dab wall?

Not sure what Quietic grid switch you are looking at? The system does include relays 1692444994807.jpeg and there are many other systems which use the same basic idea, I used one of these DSC_6061r.jpg much cheaper but same idea. I have also used the TP-link (Tapo) light switches and push buttons, these 1692445284380.jpeg can work well, I used one to switch on dinning room lights from my wife's bed side when due to a replacement knee she was sleeping in the dinning room, the magnet attachment allowed it to stick to sofa bed with ease, now repurposed as a door bell.

There are so many options, both wired and wireless, we actually did the repurpose early as she found voice activation using Nest mini worked better, OK some times the Nest Mini is like a mischievous little boy, but it still told me how to spell mischievous.

There are many ways to power an electronic switch, movement of the switch, current line to neutral, current though the device, and batteries, I like the Tapo system using batteries, no lights staying on dim or shimmer when on, but that also depends on the bulbs used.

The smart bulb works well, no need for any wiring changes, but also splitting the supply so one can select 1, 4, or 5 lights also works well, Centre_bulb_colours.jpgDSC_6799.jpg one has to decide what works for you, I said to wife no way am I fitting that chandelier she got my son to fit it, I have to admit, it works well.

There are several different models to fit different manufacturer's grids, but afaict they are all functionally the same. The grid switches are all just transmitters, there is no "reciever switch" for grid mounting.
