Hi.
Just had a quote for a concrete slab to be fitted.

Size is 2.4m x 2.4m, mot 1 + 75mm concrete, trowel finish, £800.

Does that seem about right? Was expecting nearer £500 to be honest.

Its not far out.

Im guessing skip and materials is around £400 - £500.
And labour is probably a day to dig out, lay sub base and shuttering. Then next day to lay concrete - either hand mix or volumetric pump.

It's pretty much already dug out, so minimal work there and no real need for a skip as there's currently nothing to get rid of.

So it needs shuttering, type 1, sand blinding, dpm, concrete.

Work needed is compact type 1 with whacker plate, fit shuttering, lay concrete, tamp level, trowel level.

Id say price is a bit high.

Labour wise, it is a small job with possible waiting time for delivery and waiting or coming back to trowel.

If access is good then maybe price is a bit high

Ok thanks, think I'll get a 2nd quote. Haven't got time to do it myself.
