R5 Gas Meter relocation

Hi guys i currently have a R5 gas meter and i need it moved due to a house extension. Its currently mounted in a semi-recessed wall box but i would prefer to have it mounted in a semi-buired floor box in its new location.

Will this meter fit into a standard fitment floor box?

Its a Schlumberger R5

It is a different meter that goes in the sunken boxes. IIRC.

And don't you mean a U6?

Definitely a different meter in a floor box. You'll need to get your local supplier to move it

I had SGN out today to quote for moving the gas meter. They did say my current meter would not be suitable for placement into a semi-buried meter box.
