"Britain's jobless rate has surged to its highest level for nearly four years, with wage growth dropping.
Experts blamed the slowdown in the jobs market on Chancellor Rachel Reeves for landing firms with higher costs amid evidence that employers were holding back on hiring.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics showed the rate of unemployment jumped to 4.6% in the three months to April, up from 4.5% in the three months to March and the highest level since the three months to July 2021."
Messing about with WFA ( though it IS an improvement)
We're Still waiting for something positive to promote GROWTH. Meanwhile the Germans are investing in their businesses.
Oh and we're spending a lot on 12 new submarines, and new factories.
Defence procurement is not growth. How much ££$££ spending there, goes to imports?
Not a good look.
600bn to spend today. Where's it going??
