Nobody said an ETF is a bond. What was stated is that it is possible to have an investment in Bonds that pay dividends. PGHY is an investment in Bonds that pays dividends. There are plenty of others. Sorry you didn't know that.

The Invesco Global ex-US High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (PGHY) is an exchange-traded fund that mostly invests in high yield fixed income. The fund tracks market-value-weighted index of USD-denominated corporate debts from non-US issuers, rated below investment grade. The fund has no maturity limits or duration target in its selection process PGHY was launched on Jun 20, 2013 and is issued by Invesco.So thats a fund full of bonds.
