Hopefully someone can help. We set are heating to come on at say 7:30. Rad 1,2,5, 6 will come on, 3 and 4 will stay cold. Now if I go to the timer (wireless) and turn of the heating and turn it back on, Rad 3 and 4 will then come on along with all the overs. This does not happen all the time, I have had BG over and of course when they are here it works Ok so they can not see anything wrong, anyone have any ideas?

Many Thanks

Just, sort of, thinking out loud along the lines of rads get warm, TRV's close sufficiently for flow to be diverted into other rads. Probably wrong, but it's a start

Thanks, I i'll take a look, vert strange problem, mainly as it does not always happen

Have you balanced the rads?
Some mistakenly believe that balancing is not necessary if TRVs are fitted.

Balancing is necessary to evenly distribute the flow around the system. If all the lockshield valves are left wide open, the flow takes the path of least resistance round the system, missing out some radiators until the rooms with the hotter radiators warm up, and the TRVs start to close.

Thanks, that kind of sounds like what is happening. Would it only do that some of the time, or would you except it to always happen?
