rad queery

my main rad in my front room is a long narrow type, all others are fairly normal tall rads , front room takes a while to heat up and if you put your face above all other rads you feel a good stream of warmth rising. but not over the long narrow one although it is hot to touch, is this a characteristic of this design of rad or is something wrong.

yes its a double with fins in the middle about 2mtres long and 400 millimeters high
