Radiator bulb

Hi, how come my radiator bulb doesn’t turn down? I can only turn it down to 4 and then it stops turning. Has it been installed in a wrong way?

It’s a TRV, not a bulb, but being pedantic as aside, that white piece underneath where the number 4 is looks like a limiter/stopper - this should pull out.

I have tried pulling out out. Doesn’t come up. Do I have to use a pair of pliers to yank it out?

try pushing it in then turning the sensor, as @CBW says it is a limiter

Yes it does move slightly. When you push it up and it gets stuck. It stops in between 4 & 3

you will just have to persevere with it and find out which way it moves, it is there to prevent young children and elderly from altering the setting, so if you cant do it get a young child to do it, they will soon work it out

take the head off and look inside it there maybe a small pin holding it in place

All sorted. I managed to take that plastic bit off. It was stopping it from turning
