I have a small rad in a loft room which is particularly cold - the rad is attached to a wind facing wall that gets deathly cold.
So I am thinking that the brackets of the rad leak all the heat from the rad into that wall ?
Is this a general problem ... do all rads lose large amounts of heat through the brackets ?
Anyway thinking of getting a plumber in to put some plastic behind the bracket ???
Then I will insulate the wall, but I don't want to insulate the wall whilst the feed of the radiator are still bridging into the cold wall.
Thoughts ??

In all my years of working on heating can’t say I have ever noticed the radiator bracket being hot,be easy enough to remove rad ,slacken the brackets and put some of the reflective insulation foil that is available on the wall.
