Dear all

Just had a room plastered that required a rad to be taken off and put back on.

Following this, the hot water worked fine, but the rads were cold. So I reset the pressure tank (?). Then the rads in the loft conversion and upstairs worked fine, but now the ones downstairs are just warm at the top and cold at the bottom.

I have tried bleeding them, but water comes out straight away.

I am a complete novice at this, so please go easy on me!

Any ideas??

Cheers

try turning off upstairs rads for a while to see if an air lock is pushed through.

Thanks for that.

Have turned the rads upstairs right down, and after just an hour, the rads downstairs are already getting much hotter - at the top, still cooler at the bottom though.

How long should it take for the rads downstairs to get hot all over?

Cheers

Sealed I think?? I have a cold water tank up in the loft, but there is a also a pressure tank (which I was told to repressurise after the rad had been taken off?)

Sorry to be thick!

Some hours later - turned the rads back on upstairs, and the ones downstairs have cooled down again :(

Any thoughts/ help greatly appreciated
