Radiator Help

Hi,

I have a radiator in a spare room which I wish to turn off but cant!!

It has the taps on it as shown in the pic's below. When you turn the temp tap it has no effect. When you adjust it the radiator still comes on full heat, even when turned to 'off'. I have similar on other rad's and they work fine.

Take of the top part of TRV (temp bit) and depress the spindle on top a few times, replace top and turn down to zero.

thanks for your quick reply, but when you say take the top off.......... how? Does it screw off or does it have a screw under a cap?

unscrew the knurled nut under the plastic top just below the numbers

cheers guys,....... but does this just release the plastic top? Just don't want to be flooding the place!!

Silly questions I know, but if I knew what I were doing I wouldn't be on this forum in the first place!!!!
