i am sure this must have been asked before but looking through old posts cant see any. can anyone please advise why 2 radiators that have been replaced to larger ones, they are hot at the top and cold at the bottom, the back part of the radiators [think they are called convection but not sure] are cold. the combi boiler is large enough to take the extra sized radiators.thanks .

The system probably needs balancing because most of the hot water you need for the larger radiators could be being pumped around the others. As an insufficient flow of water is reaching the radiators it has lost all of its heat before leaving. Instructions can be found in the WIKI on how to balance the radiators by clicking here

There could be other causes, you could have too many radiators for the pump, or it could be a piping system problem, for example you could have a blockage, or too many radiators fed from the same 15mm pipe. But my guess is that balancing is the problem. See if the problem ones get hot when you turn all of the others off.

It's usual when the heating goes off at the timer or thermostat for the radiator to slowly cool from the bottom upwards whilst the top stays hot for quite some time.
