Help somebody
I have a leaking plug in the top of the radiator If I close the thermostatic & lockshield valves I should be able to withdraw the offending plug, use some PTFE tape & replace the plug without losing too much water
Does that make sense?
The boiler is a Worcester Combi
Would I have to then have to build up pressure & can you explain how
I would be grateful for any advice

Thank you

The repair to the rad plug can be done as you described.Depending on the model of your WB combi will dictate how you refill system.Model would help.

Thank you for your prompt reply, unfortunately the leaky rad is in my daughter`s house some 40 miles away, I shall be going there later today & she is away at the moment I think the Worcester boiler is about 5 years old

The recent WB combi's have a built in fill loop with a white plastic key.See users instructions on the use of this or if has no built in fill loop look for a silver braided hose under the boiler.

Ichecked on theWB combi & the name on it was 28I Junior, the water preasure was a little low so I didnt do anything until I was sure of the topping up prcedure, I read that this boiler went out of production in 2007 but it was fitted in 2006
