    Hi all

One of our radiators is behaving oddly.

When it's hot . We can't turn it off with the valve. I.e. turn to 0 and no effect

With the valve at 0, If we turn off the heating , let everything cool down and then turn it back on then the rad stays off

Any ideas? The thermostatic head is myson (we've tried 2 different heads) and the valve itself is altec I think. Weve used myson heads on some of our other rads and they work ok with the altec valves

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

pretty much sounds like it must be the valve body getting stuck fully open and closed

Replace the TRV with a complete new valve and head, not a good Idea to mix valves and sensor heads
