I have a fuzzy memory of using some kind of compound in the past on the 'nuts' on radiators to make them easier to unscrew when required (a bit like dipping screws in grease before driving them !). It wasn't Plumber's Mate.

Has anyone any idea what I am talking about ??

Any suggestions gratefully received !

A bit of copper ease Anti-seize assembly compound Would do the job .... (Use sparingly)

I wouldn't bother except for ensuring that the threads are clean.

Tell it to the OP - I'm not the one who's in any doubt.
