Hello all, new to this forum and looking for some advice (or if I should get someone in to do it)

Looking to replace a single panel radiator with a Kudox type 22 double panel. The installation diagrams show the valves should be approx 85mm from the wall. The current lockshield is about half that currently (see photo) the pipes go into the wall.

What are my options here? Am I able to use an angled elbow connector and attach to the lockshield in its current position? Or do I need to cut the pipes and extend them out? Any advice much appreciated.

Do the pipes have any back and forth movement in them when disconnected from the rad?
