Hi,

Pleeeease can someone offer advice on what may be wrong with my radiators / heating?

The radiator in the kitchen has been hot at the top & cool at the bottom recently, and now the water coming out of my taps is barely lukewarm despite the fact that the pipes to radiators are very hot.

I'm in Belgium; at home in the UK, I'd have no probs bleeding the radiators, but here I have a Heimeier thermostatic head system and there is no obvious way of bleeding the radiators (I've tried for ages!) The kitchen one is a nightmare as what looks like a possible valve has been fitted too close to the sink, so I'm struggling to get a spanner in there.

I've posted a link to the online instructions booklet in case there are any amazingly talented, kind people who might be able to understand it better than I can!

Yours hopefully (with one very cold little girl relying on me!)

That is a symptom of a sludged up radiator.

Need to flush your system out.

DIY version is to take the radiator off and hose pipe it through in the garden.

Don't forget to add inhibitor when filling up after flushing out though or the same problems will come back!
