Hi
We have recently moved and I'm in the process of decorating our bedroom. I removed the radiator in order to strip the paper but now part way through decorating I'm wondering if the radiator is big enough to heat the room effectively. The radiator I've taken off is a curved one under the bay window - size wise it's 180cm long x 60cm high but seems very thin at only 1.5cm deep (It doesn't look as if it's a recent vintage either.) The room is quite large at 5.4m x 3.7m. I'm guessing there must be some sort of calculation to work out the BTU output of the radiator and whether this would be effective for the room size? I'd prefer not to have to put it on to test it's effectiveness after decorating as getting a new one could mean new brackets etc - meaning possible decoration damage! The room itself is double glazed and will be carpeted. Any suggestions?
Regards
Matthew
