Aaaaagh! My fault - just bought some trv sets with a 10mm reducer included, and my pipework is 8mm. Will the 10mm olive together with a decent wack of PTFE tape compress enough, or do I have to get a 15mm - 8mm reducer from somewhere?
Many thanks

no it wont work, usually they come with both 10mm and 8mm reducers in the same box, what brand did you get ?

you dont have to get them from mr centralheating screwfix etc all stock them, that was just to show you what they look like, on lots of brands, when you tighten them they will go tight then you will feel a snap, you havent overtightened it that is how the y work then you tighten them properly, you will know what I mean when you fit them , if you tighten the nut pull the pipe , if you can pull it out of the fitting you havent( snapped) the reducer, many have been caught with that

Probably sorted already but Screwfix dont do 8mm ones anymore and the Danfoss Trv packs that state 8 and 10mm included in catalogue don’t come with 8mm anymore either.

I learned the hard way couple of months ago.
