Hi all,
I am trying to replace an old radiator without draining the system, so I have removed and foolishly thrown the old rad away.
Weeks later I have bought a new rad and valves which came with tails.
I only wanted to use the tail really as I have left the valves connected to the pipes but switched off.
The valve tails fit perfectly into the new rad, but the nut end that attaches to the rad valve just seems a tiny bit too small. It all looked like standard 15mm bits but I am now wondering if the old valve is a different size?
Is this likely? and if so what size would I need to buy assuming you can still get them. Failing that its waiting until the weather warms up and draining the system, something I was trying to avoid.
Thanks for any advice
