I have just bought a double 4ft radiator and it is going onto a plasterboard wall and I was wondering if the screws that I have will be strong enough to hold it, a plumber will do the job I was just trying to help out a bit, so I bought plasterboard rawlplugs the type that self screw into the wall then a screw goes through the middle of it and locks (I hope) have I done the right thing or do I need different fixings, any help is much appreciated

Personally I don't care too much for those. When I've used them, I've found it's too easy to strip the fixing out of plasterboard while putting the screw in.

By far the best option, if possible, is to fix directly into the studs. So look carefully for the studs (typically 16" or 400mm apart) and see if it's possible to fix directly into them.

Otherwise, I quite like Rawl Uno plugs which (as long as you use the right drill size) make a good fixing. Or "fastbrollies" (the ones that open up behind the board like an umbrella) really take some pulling out.
