This could be coincidental, but I'm keen to get to the bottom of it.

We recently had a radiator taken out and the pipework capped by a local gas fitter/plumber as a temporary measure, as it was on a partition wall which was to be moved.

Since then, the other radiators are all much much louder, there's what I can only describe as a whooshing noise (not unlike putting a shell to your ear, but much louder). This goes on for about a minute or two, pauses for a second, then whooshes again.

The radiators are all hot top and bottom, don't appear to need bleeding, and everything else is working fine.

The boiler is less than a year old, it's a BAXI duo-tec 28kw type.

Any ideas people?

Taking the rad out may have increased the floe through the rest of the rads. You could try opening the lockshields on the rest of the rads a wee bit more.

Aye, I was thinking/hoping it could be down to increased flow. In which case presumably once the removed radiators (and extra ones) are back in, it should hopefully quieten down a bit then?
