Has anyone got a Radon venting system under their ground floor? Is it at all noisy and does it clear mustiness and moisture as it claims? I would be glad of any comments from people who have one and recommending people who install them with good standing.

It;s a glorified extractor with a pipe sold in the 90's scaremongering ploy by companies to eliminate dengerous levels of the radioactive gas Radon that naturally occurs.

I know three people who have active radon mitigation systems. Two are wall mounted and can be heard on a quiet night, . The third has the fan unit mounted externally and drawing air from under the suspended ground floor.

Radon does occur naturally but that does not mean it does not present a health hazard. The products of its radio-active decay include some toxic but very short half life isotopes.
