I've recently moved into this house and need some advice about my central heating. I've notice that when the tank reaches the temperature on its thermastat, the pump stops and the radiators cool down, even though the room stat is set higher. Is this a fault or my stupidity? Thanks for any help.

bit more info on the system etc will help.

sounds like a fault on a 3 port valve.

have you one of these next to the cylinder ?

i would check the valves moving freely etc.
its either not moving over fully and activating the micro switch or the micro switch is faulty
or it's stuck in mid position.

I moved the valve and it now looks as though all is well. Thanks for your help. :D

Hi it's me again. I have to manually move the mechanism every couple of weeks or so for it to work. Do you think I need to replace the actuator or can it be fixed?
