Right, I've currently got 2 problems.
1. I posted on here last week regarding my rad in bathroom but I can't find it!. I have drained, cleaned & inhibited now. I even left the flow to it unconnected when refilling to see if there was a blockage, but no, water ****ed out all over the floor. The rad was flushed & both the valves were changed. The flow comes out of the wall, from the airing cupboard (where the pipe is hot) and it just goes cold withing the space of 4-5" from the end of the bend. No branches come off of this pipework. The radd bleeds water everytime so there is no air in there. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS BLOODY RAD! I'm at the end of my tether now & the Mrs is moaning constantly now.!!!!!

2. HW was not filling up & after various checks, I discovered that the Motorised valve was screwed. I took the motor off the top & turned it open permanently. The problem is, the water is now running off the heating and is coming out the taps at 82 instead of 65-70. Other than replacing the valve, which will be pointless as the system will be getting changed within 3 months, or turning manually, what is the effect of having this valve open all the time? My Mrs is paranoid the house is going to blow up but she loves the hot water!

cheers

If no water came out of the open end the chances are it's blocked, the rad will fill from the return hence no air in it.
If you turn the boiler stat down the water will not get so hot.

water did come out of the opened end. In fact it poured out all over the floor. This rad is a mystery to me. Water flows to it but it is cold after the bend on the flow..

The HW Cylinder fills even when the HW switch is off. Turning the water control down makes no difference. I know I have to change the actuator on the motorized valve (sunvic/satchwell actuator) but in the meanwhile, what possible effect will this problem cause? I don't want the cylinder to blow up!
