Hello.
The wall in question is a solid fairfaced blockwork 215 thick, with 19mm 1:3 cement/sand render to the external face which has been painted with Snowcem paint. Rainwater is penetrating to the inside of the building.
I know little about render mixes, so firstly is a 1:3 mix classed as a weak mix or dense mix and is it porous or impermeable?
What mix would generally be suitable for a single brick solid wall and what remedial measures could you suggest?
I don't have a lot more info on the condition of the render at this stage.
any help appreciated!
